Bath and Brush out
Why should you give your dog a bath and brush out?
Bathing isn't just about getting rid of that pong! A bath and brush out is an important part of keeping your dogs skin and coat clean and healthy too. Dirty coats prevent loose hair from falling out and can also trap dead skin preventing healthy skin from breathing and potentially causing skin problems. Not only can skin problems be really irritating and uncomfortable for your dog, they can also end up run up massive bills at the Vets!
But why is brushing so important? For some breeds, especially curly coated breeds such as Poodles and all the cross breeds associated with them, the coat will tangle and matt really easily. Unless these matts are brushed out, they will get worse and tighten up against the dogs skin causing the dog to be uncomfortable and even be in pain. When matting is that severe a dog groomer has no option but to clip coat off down to the skin to fully remove the matts and ease the dogs discomfort.
Bath time at home though can be very chaotic! Soap suds everywhere, sometimes you end up more wet than the dog, then you have to try and get the dog dry and fully brushed out. When it's finally over you then have another clean up job...the bathroom!
So let Doggie-Styles take the sting out of bath time and bath your pooch for you.
